The Candela Rule
When was the last time you put yourself first? I mean really, really, put yourself first? What if emptying yourself is actually straightening and strengthening yourself? That selflessness grows self? We are all sharing the same water, the same land, the same air, as a part of the grand web of life. We careen through space, on our spinning home, in an orbit around the sun, turning around the milky way. Our interaction with others is much the same. We are all one body, the human body, the cosmic body.
What you do to others, you do to yourself. This is the candela rule. Inspired by the silver, gold, platinum, rhodium, and palladium rules, we frame the result in units of light instead of metal. Shine your light.

What you do to others, you do to yourself.
This ancient wisdom echoes through time, A mirror reflecting deeds in rhythm and rhyme. Kindness bestowed, a gentle embrace, Returns like a whisper, a warm, soft grace.
Harsh words flung like arrows, piercing the air, Find their way back, a boomerang’s dare. For every cruelty, a wound we impart, The echo rebounds, striking our own heart.
Generosity sown, seeds of compassion, Blossom within, a sweet satisfaction. In lifting others, we lift our own soul, A cosmic dance where kindness takes its toll.
So let us choose wisely, our actions and ways, For the universe listens, and memory stays. What we give, we receive, a cosmic decree, What we do to others, we do to ourselves, you see. 🌟
